Schnapp Group
A. Schnapp & Co. Ltd. is a listed company founded in 1951. Schnapp is the largest marketer of auto batteries in Israel, with a 45% market share and over 2,500 points of sale. Schnapp is also the sole importer in Israel of Trojan – the world’s largest producer of batteries for deep discharge.
Main areas of activity:
• Marketing lead-acid batteries for all types of vehicles.
• Marketing UPS batteries for computers and backup batteries.
• Local marketing of deep discharge batteries suitable for wheelchairs and scooter-carts.
Weiss Group
Real Estate – The company was established in 1999 and focuses on entrepreneurship, income-yielding real estate, purchasing groups and urban renewal. The company also specializes in the acquisition of conservation properties and the purchase of movable building rights. Most investments are done in partnership with leading and experienced real estate companies (Tidhar, Rogovin, Levinstein Properties, Square Real Estate, Sofrin and others).
Lottery – In 2015, the Weiss Group won the highest score in the tender for the performance of regional lottery services in the center of Israel, for all Lottery products for franchisees for a period of 3 years, with two options for extension for up to 4 more years.
Green Energy – In July 2012, Weiss Group established Chariot Motors, a company that engages in electric bus ventures using super-capacitor technology. The electric buses are equipped and powered by electricity supplied from rechargeable capacitors. Currently, the activity takes place in Israel, in partnership with the Dan Cooperative, as well as in Western and Eastern Europe.
